Proj.Mgmt
The bulk of my work over the last few years has been in project management. Here are a few highlights:
TECHNICAL PROJECT MGR, RENEGADE LLC
NY, NY — 2010 – Present
At Renegade, I’ve technical managed the production of successful high profile websites. Responsibilities have included locating high quality off-shore development teams, interfacing with the client on technical procedures and education, assisting the architect and CEO with technology and strategy, and taking care of day-to-day tactical tasks like consolidating bugs, managing the calendar, and tracking the budget. In short, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
DEVELOPER/PROJECT MGR, TEXTBOOM
NY, NY — 2009 – 2010
At Textboom, I produce custom mobile solutions for a number of their clients. Including a txt-2-screen moderation app, a mobile coupon delivery and display platform, a web widget for easy mobile subscription list signups, and a large scale mobile project that provides a platform for golf courses to sell and market teetimes and last-minute availability.
HEAD OF RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT, EYEIC
NY, NY — 2008 – Present
At EyeIC I have joined the Product Lead in charting the future of our core product, MatchedFlicker — a software tool to aid in the diagnosis of diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration. I worked with our FDA advisor to prepare, write, and submit EyeIC’s 410(k) submission for premarket authorization, which was approved for distribution in May of 2009. As technologist, I lead all communication with our development vendors, created and update all specification documents, all user documentation, and manage the production of training videos, as well as the company website. Visit EyeIC’s website to learn more about their offering.
TECHNOLOGIST, RIPROAD
NY, NY — 2007 – present
At RipRoad, I managed the creation and deployment of a complex SMS delivery and processing platform + website. This project required locating and contracting a development team, creating spec documents, estimating and sticking to a schedule, troubleshooting, and—due to a last minute personnel change at our design partner—implementing the website into HTML/CSS. My work with RipRoad resulted in a never–before–seen technology platform for SMS delivery: an important addition to their technology portfolio. RipRoad plans to continue working on the platform, increasing its generality and leveraging it with more clients.
TECHNOLOGIST, SOUNDSTREAK
NY, NY — 2006 – 2009
SoundStreak is an ASP working to create a software service (thick client + website) to record and deliver pro–audio files between talent and producers. I’ve been involved in many aspects of SoundStreak’s business, from bug tracking and feature mapping, to technical strategy and UI design. My work there began with taking a very shaky prototype, finding a competent development team, and tasking them to improve it with an eye toward stability. Since then, I’ve been assisting SoundStreak with the creation of their commercial offering. I wrote the original RFP, and since vendor selection, have been participating in frequent dev calls with the team, clarifying implementation details, and working on the base of the user interface. WEB PRODUCER & SYSTEMS SPECIALIST, CARNEGIE HALL
NY, NY — 2001 – 2006
I joined Carnegie Hall’s marketing team at a very exciting crossroad, they had just created a new website, whose design would form the basis of their site until today. I did a huge variety of design, production, and programming work for them. Including: creating their popular email newsletter campaign (over 30,000 pieces per month), which was redesigned and improved every season; updating the web site’s design, creating data–driven Flash season brochures (with hand–built search algorithms); building a Java slideshow web app, with an easy to use administration tool; creating promotional videos which flew on Continental Airlines and were seen in all of the Hall’s public spaces; designed their “Shop” section; refitted an old Flash 5 Listening Adventure with a new look, improved code, and better performance; building a dynamic audio player that integrated with Carnegie’s TeamSite-based content management system; many other projects.
